The MN State EMS LODD Memorial Foundation is an independent, charitable organization committed to securing donations for the establishment of an EMS Line Of Duty Death (LODD) Memorial at the Minnesota state capitol grounds.
At present, there is no tangible tribute in Minnesota for EMS personnel who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
State regulations mandate that the funding must be sourced from private contributions rather than taxpayer money. Therefore, we are seeking your generous donations to support the construction of this memorial.

The addition of the MN EMS LODD Memorial to capitol grounds would complement the existing Peace Officers Memorial and MN Fallen Firefighters Memorial (moved to capitol grounds in 1977 and 2012, respectively).
The proposed MN EMS LODD Memorial is the third leg needed to complete the three-legged stool honoring public-safety first responders.
This new memorial could add to the prominence of the Peace Officer’s and Fallen Firefighter memorials as well. It would encourage visitors to move between the three first responder memorials.

All donations are collected by the HCAPE Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization under a fiscal sponsorship agreement. All funds donated will go directly to the MN State EMS LODD Memorial foundation to support its mission and goals.

We are currently working with lawyers on the paperwork to file for our own 501c3 status. They estimate this will be completed in summer of 2024
